Hi Logan! Thank you for spending time with your homework.  You did great with this one. Keep it up! ^ ^ You said you\'re quite confused between present perfect and simple past. Well, here are some: We use the simple past to talk about finished action that happened at a specific time. For example, “I went out with my friends last night.” The adverb “last night” is not required, but it does help clarify that the event happened at a specific time. For the present perfect, you form it by using “have” or “has” followed by the past participle form of the verb. The sentence “I have graduated from college,” emphasizes the present effect of a past event -- graduation. The exact time of the graduation is not important. Also, it is common to use the present perfect with the words “for” and “since.” “For” and “since” are adverbs that tell about the duration of an activity. They answer the question “how long?” For example, “I have studied English for a long time”.

I have some questions.
1. at number 3, what\'s the meaning of \'wore it short ever since\'

>>Wore it short means ever since she left school, her hair has been short. She never had long hair since.
2. How can I am used to present perfect? I usually use past simple. Is memorization good way to improve?

>>Do you mean, how can you use present perfect? You can refer to the note I have written above on when to use present perfect. Other than those two, it can express a repeated action. When an action happened more than one time in the past, use the present perfect. For example, “I have seen the movie three times”.  The negative adverb “never” requires the present perfect. You can say, “I have never been to France.” You would not say, “I did never go to France.”
3. \'arrive in/arrive from\' I studied those words at 10, Do I have to use them?

>>Arrive in- to come to a certain point in the course of travel; reach one\'s destination: He finally arrived in Rome.

>>Arrive from-your journey starts from some place and takes you to your destination: I have arrived from Paris. (you came from Paris, now you are in __)
