There are a lot of means and measure to discipline a student not just to punish them and cause embarrassment on their part. When it comes to disciplining a child, being firm and consistent with your actions and what you say is very important. I guess, hitting a child should be the last resort. ^ ^ 

When I was in middle and high school, many teachers inflicted corporal punishment.

I think corporal punishment is not good.

Now, in Korea, the corporal punishment to students is illegal.

The score system is running to the students instead of the corporal punishment.

Perhaps young people can be exposed to the performance evaluation system and they can be fixed their life or ability.

In my period, the corporal punishment made me embarrassed, but it is just finished at that time, and I can make good relationship with teacher again.
