The number of young age people become addicted to wathcing television or playing video games while they are in home. Some are concerned about negative effects of these addiction toward families and society. In this essay, I will outline the influnces of this phenomenon to families and society and suggest a possible solution. First of all, a preference of teenagers' inddor activities such as watching television and playing video games woudl reduce their social skiils required in the families and society. It is well known fact that watching television and playinh computer games reduce time for communication with other people. A study conducted by the Korea National University showed that three quaters of teenagers spending more than 5 hours watching TV and playing viedo games tended to lose interst in their school life.
