Learning and recognizing knowledge is often good for everybody. When we work to do, if we have some information about that, it would be very helpful. Recently, my electric devices were soaked by seawater and they immediately corroded. But I want to fix one of them. And I opened the devices' case, I cleaned it and I removed a battery. I should have not removed the battery to retain data in memory which was volatile. I didn't know this until I found about the device in the web site. It was shown to me what important the information is. In the other cases, knowing would become a sickness. While we live, there is no need to know everything intentionally. Even If we don't know about something, there are no accident. It is very normal case. But if you recognize something and deeply think, it would be serious or become an accident. Of course, new knowledge makes people more happier and more convenient. Although it is true, knowledge is just knowledge. We need rather wisdom than knowledge.

But I also agree with you when you said we don\'t have to know everything to get by in our daily lives. We only need to know about the things that are useful and applicable for us.
