It isn't all happening in school but in real life. The world is very variety, therefore in school we could not learn all things. In school, we just learn a basic rule. If you want to adjust it, you do in real life. In school, we could just more practice it to be accustomed to adjusting things in real life. But in school it is not real. There are many different things in the world. When we encounter them in real life, we just apply the rules learned in school to that situation. And we would learn from applying. That is a result of education in school.
