What is your motivation in studying the English language? Motivation in studying Engllish language is a complex phenonmenon becasue each individual have different motivations. Some people would learn second langauge because of pratical goals such as promotion while others could study English for personal growth. However, I personally think that my motivation is intergrative motivation. I started to learn Engisish when I was 7 years old. I took English class where native speaker was in charge of. When I took the English class, I felt more comfortable with Korean teacher than those who are native speakers. I was afraid that I might not understand what he or she said and I did not know how to tell my thought exactly. As teacher compliment my expression, I had confidence of using Engsish. Therefore, I could change my personality into extrovert and I am seldom afraid of speaking English. Based on my experience, I think that my motivation is realted to my personal growth.
