Hi, Marie, hey,sorry for the wrong spelling of ur name. It was miss typing.^^;;; Beside, I really appreciate for ur correcting on my writing!!!! I wish I could learn this Eng [by word of mouth]. If it can happen, I will feel like a million dollars. And you know what?! I assume myself, I look like a million dollars.(oh my god..) Well, let's [cut to the chase]! I know one idiom which has very similar meaning. And I also like this idiom much. The idiom is "Don't beat around the bush". The meaning is "just get the introduction out and get straight to the point(conclusion)". It's how I understand these 2 idioms, is it correct? For the 3rd one, I just turned into thirties this year. It's a lot different with when I was in twenties. I mean my mind and the way to face the world. so, I'm still getting [to find my feet]!! Gooooooooooooooooood???? Ummmm, Marie, If u don't mind, could plz explain me those three idioms which are [twist someone's arm, stab someone in the back, ring a bell].

It means you \"hurt someone who was close to you and trusted you by betraying them secretly and breaking their trust.\" For example: My bestfriend just stabbed me in the back when she started dating my ex-boyfriend.\" The last idiom \"ring a bell\" means that \"somebody has mentioned something to us which sounds familiar, perhaps we\'ve heard it before -- in other words when someone says something that you believe you\'ve heard in the past alarm bells start ringing and you try to remember how or why that name or place sounds familiar\".
