ESSAY: Maintaining public libraries is a waste of money since computer technology is now replacing their functions. To what extent do you agree or disagree? I agree that computer technology has been replacing libraries functions. However, I don’t agree that maintaining public libraries is a waste of money. First, we can't see all books on computer since it is illegal to duplicate and spread it through the website. So, we should get to library finding information. Second, library is a kind of symbol for studying and finding knowledge. Thus, people use to go there when they have to study for their future such as getting license, examination, or club activities. Third, I think data can be fabricated easily by someone who wants to change information only for his profit. If someone secretly change report on the computer, the others just believe it since they might not know that is true. It is critical problem especially for history distortion. Hence, we must give printed true data to the next generation since it is impossible to change information on paper. I think last one is the most important thing why we must to maintain public libraries
