In many patrilineal societies including Korea, the marriage seems like that woman belongs to man\'s family.
It was absolutely right in Korea in my mother\'s period.

It looks not bad, but it means that that son-in-law is courteously treated from parents-in-law, but, the daughter-in-law can not be treated well.
Now the world is changed a lot, but I still partly agree with this sentence.
Until now, I and my husband go to the parents-in-law\'s home at first in Korean traditional holiday to pray for the ancestors, and then we go to my parent\'s home.
But the ceremony in my parent\'s home is already finished when we arrived there.
I always think it\'s unfair, but I never talked about this to my husband because I rationally know it is Korean culture.
