Is there someone of who you were aware, but never gave a second thought to until he/she did something that took you completely by surprise? I was aware of a woman who worked together for a clinical research study. She was a nurse in a hospital and we had met each other over several months. One day, she suddenly told me that she will stop to join the study from the date. I asked the reason why she will do. Then she answered that she will go a maternity leave from next week and the expected date of labor was just 1 week left. I was surprised since I never noticed that she was pregnant until she revealed it. Although she told me that she gained 18 kilograms after pregnancy, she really looked like a slim person. On a second thought, it was possible that I could not notice her pregnancy since she was too skinny before the pregnancy. And I simply thought that she was getting healthy when she recently gained weight.
