'A thousand splendid suns' is a novel written by Khaled Hosseini who is an Afghan writer 'The Kite Runner' I read this book friday night to saturday morning. And I sobbed throughout reading for compassion and sadness. Two Afghan women , novel's main caracter, went through various hardship because they lived in Afghanistan that is a battlefield. People don't live like a human during the war specially for women. They are easily targeted all sorts of immoral crimes. The war brutalizes many men. It is one of the greatest tragedies the world has been through. Although I met two womenn in fiction, I feel sorry deeply as a woman. If you have a time, try to read this book. I'm so sorry that I can't express my impression. ^^
