I am going to talk about a story that I have heard recently.
The story was about ‘open chatting’ from my friend called Jason.
There is a popular messenger application among Koreans. It is called ‘kakao talk’. I think almost of Koreans use the messenger application. Open chatting is one of functions of Kakaotalk. Someone opens a chatting room and anybody comes into the chatting room. There are diverse kinds of subjects and different kinds of people living in other countries.
Jason met and enjoy his time with new chatting friends, and he keeps going the relationship with them.
The reason why I remember is that I was shocked when I’ve heard the story. I don’t understand how to become a friend who I don’t know well, especially through a messenger application. I guess I have a bias in the messenger.

Someone will open a chat room and any user may join. There are a wide range of topics discussed and a variety of people living in other countries can be involved.
Jason enjoys his time chatting with new friends he met online and he even develops relationships with some of them.
The reason why I remember this is that I was shocked when I’ve heard the story. I don’t understand how people who met online get romantically involved. I guess I have a different impression about online chatting.
