About children's being engaged in paid work

In many countries, children are engaged in paid work. And there seem to be contrasting views about it. One is regarding that as totally wrong, and the other is considering that as someting valuable. As far as I'm concerned, children's being engaging in paid work is not desirable in most cases. And the case in which that is advisable is only when the main purpose of his/her working is building up his/her experiences. Regrettablly, general reason of child labor is that they are too poor to live without working. Children ought to be reared with enough chance of learning and playing. If not, we shall not expect them to grow up to be a healthy and productive member of our communities. It's a great social harm to deprive the future workforces of the opportunity to develop their talents and abilities. As a result, I think child labor should be regarded negatively in general and be regulated strictly.

It\'s just so sad that in outr community alone, I can see a lot of children working hard while their parents are just merely relaxing. Some parents would even justify their lameness. My heart\'s bleeding every time I see these kids begging for alms, looking for food from thrash thrown by other people or carrying heavy loads.
