Most Korean people tend to speak carelessly. People are used to argument, we are not suffering that much in that case compare to other country. There are many people insulting their acquaintances. In some sense, those actions consider as being allowed custom and seem familiar actions as well. These concepts originate in historical background that korean people have been governed by a civil officer rather than the opposit since Josun Dynasty. I know that in western, America as well, if they were insulted, they would have challenged to a duel. Thus, people are getting gentle. Shakehands is an expression that they don't have anything dangerous. Western people smile when they come across a person which means I don't have any bad mind of you. Now that global community,

Hello there SK! We cannot really avoid arguments sometimes. But I have learned that the best way to avoid arguments is this: IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY THEN DON’T TALK AT ALL. I think that philosophy applies if you don’t want any trouble or arguments. I don’t understand why people say bad things to other people but I guess that is a part of freedom of expression.
