Writing task! You wake up one day and you suddenly have an accent, what would it be and why? (Examples: American, British, Scottish, Australian, Canadian, etc.) It would be British accent. I have learned American accent from middle school, so I'm accustomed to it. I think American accent has the merit of soft flow because of lenition. For these reasons when I heard British accent for the first time, it was heard awkward to me. However, nowadays my feeling is changing. I think British accent seems a little stiff but I can feel a dignity. In fact, I heard that many Americans envy the original accent of the UK.
