Are organizations or groups most successful when their members pursue individual wishes and goals?

I don't agree that the organizations or groups most successful when their members pursue individual wishes and goals.
The organizations or groups are "the Team" not just gathering. They gathered to achieve the goals not individual goals. So I think they have to set a team goal and do the best to achieve that goals. Also to achieve the group goals, we have to set individual goals related the team goals.
If they concentrate on only achieving their own goals, maybe someone makes a great result, but someone can't do that. Someone said only 2% of the talented person lead the company. However, there are a lot of other people who support them, they can make a great result. That is the power of the team.

Hi, [이름]! (^^,)
Thank you for still finding the time to write in our composition board despite your very busy schedule. ^^
It\'s one thing to create a team, but quite another to create teamwork.
To put it simply, teams don\'t work without teamwork.
Teamwork serves as the glue that keeps a team together and the bond that promotes strength, unity, reliability and support.
The French language has an excellent expression to describe the word TEAMWORK and that is: ESPRIT DE CORPS. This means a sense of unity and enthusiasm for common interests and responsibilities in a group of people closely associated in a task, cause, or enterprise.
Teamwork is important because it creates synergy.
It supports a more empowered way of working and removes constraints which may prevent someone doing his or her job properly.
Team work also promotes a flatter and leaner structure, with less hierarchy.
It encourages multi-disciplinary work where teams cut across organizational divides.
Promoting teamwork in a group fosters flexibility and responsiveness, especially when the need to respond to change arise.
Finally, team work promotes a sense of achievement, camaraderie and equity which are all essential for a motivated workplace.
When managed properly, teamwork is a better way to work! ^^
I hope you have a wonderful day [이름]!
See you on Monday. Take care always.
