Are the penalties for drinking and driving strict enough in your country?

I don't think that the penalties for drunk-driving are enough to diminish drinking and driving. Some people don't care of paying a fine, and they are not afraid of being engaged in punishment. Such a generous treatment should cause a lot of serious traffic accidnets from drinking and driving. Drunk-driving should be punished severly because drunk-drivers might endanger the other people's lives and they drive their cars intentionally under the influence of alcohol. I believe tht such a strict measure would make a great contribution for reduing the rate of drinking and driving.
