Are you a chatty person or do you only speak when you're ?

I am an introvert and more the listener type. I am a person who only speaks when I’m spoken to. I usually stay calm and quiet. I don’t have sense of humor. This is one of the things that I don’t like about myself. I sometimes feel like I want to be a person who can lighten up the mood, make attendees laugh and rock the house. I envy a person who is good at leading a talk and making jokes. He/she can dominate a conversation naturally without hurting other’s feelings. Without him/her, a diner or a gathering will be boring. So, whenever an informal get-together takes place, he/she is always invited and welcomed. I want to be an eloquent speaker. It’s very important to have good social talking skills especially during in social activities such as friend parties and chit-chat with your co-workers and friends. Good conversationalists talk about plain, simple subjects when trying to get to know and get along with other people. Forget about being eloquent, clever, or pretentious.
