As a citizen, is voting more of a privilege or a responsibility?
학생이 쓴 원문
Voting would be more a responsibility than a privilege. When I was young, teachers taught me voting is part of four rights provided to the citizen. In this sense, I thought casting a ballot was more privilege, the opportunity to choose our representative. However, as I have grown up learning that selecting the right leader is a duty of the people, the ballot is more than an obligation. Alongside this, voting as a privilege makes people forget the importance of choosing the right leader. Some people opt-out of voting because they are indifferent in politics and think society is unchangeable by a single vote.
