I think a good teacher can influence how well I enjoy learning a language. First, if I receive sincere feedbacks and get encouraged, I become more willing to study. I like to feel myself improving and be recognized by others. Second, the speed of learning is important for me. For example, I like to find patterns and apply them to other cases. It is hard for me to memorize a bulk of concepts without true understanding. Learning a language entails a lot of memorizing, but I find myself happy if I am given enough time to digest. If the teacher speeds up so fast, I lose the will to try understanding.
