I think it can vary depending on the type of game.
Playing with the body is most likely to help people learn new skills. Because by moving our body, it helps us learn new skills while improving our physical ability.
However, the games that people int the opposite position think will be computer or mobile games that are often played. Because computer games and mobile games are mostly played sitting or lying down and only using our fingers to play games, so not helping us learn new skills.
