Challenges for the next generation.

The two biggest issues that will challenge the next generation would be the climate change and the lack of resources. They are actually closely related to each other as the current generation is excessively consuming available resources, gradually heating the global temperature. For one, modern societies are still very much dependent on fossil fuels and other unsustainable energy sources. Despite lots of effort to discover renewable energy, it is unlikely that some candidates such as solar and wind will replace coal and oil any time soon, meaning there will be energy shortages at some point in the future. Moreover, global warming is another problem that may have devastating impacts on the globe. Until now, humanity has thrived in many aspects at the expense of the environment. However, there are a number of projected scenarios in terms of how the global warming will affect the life of human beings, the majority of which indicate a striking disruption is highly likely to happen.
