Do not show them that you are nervous. They can feel that. Try this for Westerners. 1. Greet them with a question like: How are you doing today? What\'s up with you today? Start a conversation like you are interested about them. 2. Make a compliment! example: You look great today! Nice shirt you\'re wearing today! [girls like this a lot.hahahaha] 3. Ask them back what they asked you after you answer it. This would make them feel like you want to know them better. example: I would like to have Japanese food today. How about you? what would you like? 4. Give a choice and ask the reason. example: Do you like summer better or winter? Why is that? 5. LISTEN TO WHO YOU\'RE TALKING TO. :)   Hope I helped you.
