Good morning, Teacher! As an extension of our last class, I am going to explain more about our vacation. Our government legislates to protect employees from disadvantages in workplaces. We call it 'The Labor Standards Law'. As you can guess, there are a lot of rules that employers must follow for employees. For example, the law specifies that working hours are within 40 hours for a week and employees have the right to require their annual and monthly leave. However, there are a lot of difficulties for many workers to assert their right in workplaces and they even have to study their boss's face to ask for a leave. Moreover, some small companies sometimes consider this leave as an unpaid leave. Even though many workers are still exposed to getting unfair treatments, practically, they are unable to bring a legal action because of the practical situation they are in. Just the thought of this real situation makes me feel bitter and frustrated. The subject today is a little bit dark. ^^;; That is all for today and see you tomorrow! ^^**
