Good afternoon, teacher. The latest political scandal related to the President Park Geun-hye has caused an uproar in Korean society. As a student who is studying politics, I'm very disappointed with this scandal. According to the news which has been reported so far by various media, the president's closest friend Choi Soon-sil, who has had a close relationship with the President Park for nearly forty years old, has abused her power to satisfy her selfish desires. Korean people choose Park Geun-hye as a new president in 2013 although she was a daughter of dictator, the former President Park Jung-hee. She was expected to defend democracy and lead to the economic growth of Korea at the same time. However, she failed both of tasks that Korean people hope to achieve through her. The latest scandal showed that she had considered democracy as not that important and hadn't observed basic procedures of the democratic system. We can't help be frustrated in her way of politics.
