composition: should we let our teens to make their own decisions?

A lot of education experts or counselors recommend that parents encourage their kids to make their own decisions and respect their opinions. It sounds perfectly alright. However, in reality, parents tend to intervene in all aspects of their kids’ lives such as what to wear, what to eat, what to study, whom to meet, how to behavior, etc. This is because most parents think that teenagers aren't old enough to think farther. Therefore, parents always make decisions for their teenage children. Although they make mistakes and their decisions may not be right, parents need to be opened and make efforts to view things from our children's standpoint. Parents should be there to help when our children make wrong decisions. Parents should let our teenage children become who they want to be not who the parents envisioned them to be. All in all, we, parents, should support teenagers to make their own decisions for better future.
