Dangers of being a conformist.

There are several reasons why being a conformist is dangerous. First of all, conformist mentality is detrimental to a society. On the individual level, being apathetic to public matters can be a coping mechanism. In modern society, people endure diverse hardships throughout their daily life. They have to constatly make a decision after another in order to survive in this ever-changing world. So, it is totally understandable that they just don\'t have enough room to care for public affairs. One can even say that people are forced to become conformists. Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that most difficulties, by which individuals are harassed, stem from a society\'s structural problems. For instance, a number of people fail to get regular jobs though they tried really hard. But unemployment is not an issue which can be resolved by individuals\' efforts. Without voicing themselves as a group to their society, more people will be helplessly burnt-out and the society will never change.
