TGIF, I hope you enjoy a splendid weekend with good people you like. I didn't tell you what I wanted to talk to you when you asked 'anything special?' It was a Korean SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test) that I was about to tell you and high school students had for entrance into a university. Once a year, every high school student who is going to graduate has to take the test so as to enter university or college. The test is usually consist of four section. Korean, Mathematics, Social study or Science (Students can select either of them while When I was a high school student, I had to take both of them ) and English. And additional third languages or Chinese character is available if students want. From this year, government prepared two levels of test such as English A type, English B type. Students just select the level of test according to the university and major department they want to apply for. For instance, English education department require B type of English test result which is more difficult than A type. On the other hand, Korean history department just demand B type of English test result. Likewise, engineering department require B type of mathematics test result. After finishing my work yesterday, I took both of English test. A type was not that difficult. I only failed one question which was tricky. But B type was pretty difficult for me, who has taught English for about 6 years, even though usually is in charge of middle school student. I failed 5 questions of 45. I guess some reading paragraphs were hard to understand and relate to. Various background knowledge was required to solve. I think there's still a long way to go. Bye
