Loving their children is the basic element that parents should have. However, the way expression of their love toward their children is more important because our parents in Korea were not used to expressing their love, so that there was lack of communication, which led to misunderstanding or even a conflict. Secondly, parents should study and acquire knowledge and skills on how to raise and educate their children. We simply think that we can just raise our kids well relying on our basic instinct. However, raising and educating children is one of the most complex things that require sophisticate skills. Even riding a bicycle requires you to practice a lot, but raising children is a more difficult task and you are completely wrong if you think you could do it well without any study or preparation. Last but not least, patience is the trait you should have to become a good parent. They grow slowly. They make lots of errors. They fall a hundred times to stand up on their own feet.
