A Japanese colleague in our team brings up his feeling openly. We have been working on the same team for nearly a year. He is a very open person with a straight-forward personality and unfiltered remarks. For example, he discusses freely with the manager about the work-burden and the pay raise. He also cannot stand social injustice, so he brings up a politically sensitive issue. Occasionally, I feel he is crossing the red line, but most of the time, I respect his action. I have a timid personality, so I contemplate fully before making each very tiresome statement. In comparison, he is courageous and leads the way for a better working environment.
