I teach a high school student for my part time job. I go to her house two times a week, and tutor mathematics. The reason why I do part time job is to earn money for monthly rent.So I have started to do this since july, even though I get salary by working. My student is 18 years old, and she is not good at mathematics, so she want me to teach her. Having been teaching her for 5 months, I found that the problem of her math grade comes from no desire to study. She has no plan for university life, no dreams of what she want to be, and finally, she is not motivated to study. she hardly do homework and doesn't concentrate on me during class.she seems to be in useless thought. It is more difficult for me to motivate her to study than teach.

I know how you feel about this.Anyway, just give more patience in teaching because for sure, in no time, she will realize what she is losing when she doesn’t concentrate. But most of the time, as a teacher, we want a good result from them because we feel useless without them having good scores after all the effort.
