Do changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better?

In general, we can say that changes that make our lives easier usually make them better. Good examples are cars, mobile phones, internet, computers, washers, and so on. However, not all such inventions make our lives better all the time. We’re often looking forward to escaping from the city life that is full of convenience and seeking a time and a place that still remains untouched by humans. We sometimes want to leave our phones and cars behind and go back to primitive times. Imagine that we walk a hundred miles to just say hello to our friends. How troublesome it is, but sometime it gives us more pleasure and happiness. We’re all pursuing convenience and easier life, but also missing nature simultaneously. The world is changing so fast that we are sometimes tired of keeping up with the times. When you see your kids doing almost everything like buying movie tickets, paying for meals, and taking subways with electric gadgets like a smart phone, elderly people are overwhelmed.
