I believe holidays have a meaning because they are celebrated every year. Since it is celebrated on the same day every year, it makes every individual look forward to it. Also, holidays happen every year to celebrate special occasions. Their own way of celebrating these events will allow people to memorize more efficiently. Considering Christmas, many western people celebrate it with friends and family. In most cases, they host special feasts and unbox presents. These traditions allow them to have close bonds with their family. Many of my friends say that they feel at home when Christmas season approaches. Alongside this, Christmas is a commercial holiday in Korea. They tend to overspend on the goods and services to commemorate a year and relieve stress to begin a new year. Even though holidays are celebrated similarly, I do not believe that it lose its meaning.
