Do images and impressions have too much of an effect on people?

I think the appearance definitely effect on people. When we meet someone for the first time, we define the person's impression through the appearance. It includes the face shape and also atmosphere. The first impression is not easily changed. Many people think it is not good, but we can't halp avoiding decide the person's type through the image. For example, if I have a really kind face or smile, my social activities were easier. But unfortunately, I have a scary face so I always try to best to break the ice than other people.
