Do parents need to make an important decision for their teenage children?

I agree with the opinion that parents should make important decisions for their teenage children or at least guide them to avoid them from taking a wrong path. The ideal way is that both parents and their children have an open discussion on an issue, share ideas with respecting a different view of others, and reach a conclusion that both parties can be contented with. However, in reality, we often face a situation where someone should make a decision on a disputable issue. I do not undervalue teenagers’ ability and intelligence, but teenagers are not mature enough. They still need to grow and get experience. It requires broad knowledge, experience, acute sense of rightness or wrongness, and foresight for the change of the future society for people to make an important decision. Getting old does not merely mean that you are physically growing, but it is spritual growing-up. Wisdom could be stemmed from experience and experience can be obtained from the time you have lived.
