In the past, it is believed to be a virtue to work for one company for a long time. Companies have developed a loyalty program and a policy to retain their employees so that employees were offered a free overseas travel, a paid leave, a special bonus, etc., based on the years of their service. Employees rarely sought an opportunity outside of their companies. Things changed a lot these days. Companies are continuously trying to slim down their organization even though their business is growing. They actually encourage their senior employees to leave the company. They think that old employees are paid more than juniors, however they are not productive, neither have passion or enthusiasm. Employees also often think that it’s better to change their jobs every 4 to 5 years so that they can receive more salary and higher position. I was told that even search firms prefer a candidate who has experience working for various companies although too frequent change in his/her job is not good.

Hi Sir [이름]!

Good afternoon and happy Tuesday!

Wow! Those loyalty program and policy are great.

It will make their employees work harder and be punctual at work.

Though, like what you said below, there are companies that slim down their organization.

Even though some employees are already old, they still have the passion to work.

We should think about the brighter side of things. Do you agree with me?

Anyway, we can talk more about this in class.

Thanks for a spectacular composition today.
