Do pregnant women in your country work?

Imposing such rules for pregnant women is such a relief. Not only it would help them be convenient at work, but also helping them to keep track of their health. Women in Korea could not use maternity leave few years ago, but most company has allowed women to use their leave before their delivery these day.

People have been interesting about the health of the mother so that they have agreed pregnant women to have a break time during their duty.

Pregnant women can take two hours off from the first month of the pregnancy to four month and from eight to the time they will deliver baby.

Even though. we have a system for pregnant women, social unions would like to expand break time for whole period of pregnancy.

However, It is not simple thing, because people at work have to share the work without additional staffing.

The reason is not reasonable, if workers request to hire staff for 2 hours working and it is almost impossible to find the person who are willing to work only 2 hours a day.

Anyway, I think the trend of welfare in Korea is going to be good way and we have to implement more welfare in our society.
