I believe artificial intelligence will transform Korea\'s future. The main reason is the overflooding investment from the government and companies in AI. Artificial intelligence will reshape the future of South Korea\'s economy by generating new job opportunities. LG, a South Korean conglomerate, recently announced to spend 21 trillion won on research, including artificial intelligence, with a plan to hire over 6% of its\' hire for such positions. This trend is followed suit by other big conglomerates such as Samsung and SK. With more job opportunities, even the students without a prior academic background can quickly learn AI-related courses from government-funded programs. Since South Korea mainly relies on human capital and technology for its competitiveness, such investment would grow in the future. However, the career span for the tech-related position is short-lived, and non-majors will find it difficult to find competitive advantages over computer science graduates.
