We have Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year program via which our company recognizes the effort and contribution made by an employee. In our VSSM division, there are about 10 functions like marketing, sales, dealer development, product planning, aftersales, etc and each function head is asked to nominate one employee from its function every month who played a primary role in achieving his/her team’s objectives or led a project successfully. Then, VSSM President makes an announcement of an employees of the month via email notification every month. The employees who are awarded are given a gift voucher of 50,000 Korean won. In February or March of every year, our company holds an offsite workshop inviting all the employees and part of the workshop is to award an employee of the year. A plaque is given to those awarders. In some organizations, it is a joke, a popularity or take-turns contest for management-fawning employees. To prevent this, fair evaluation is crtitical.
