It is widely known that the English as an official language is the most useful language to communicate generally with global community members.
Some people think that development of translation devices can bring about overcome of the language barrier.
However, in my opinion, it is necessary for people who is not native english to elevate the english language proficiency for global communication and business.
As globalization accelerates, bilateral cooperation between governments is becoming more active, trade volume between countries is increasing, and many multinational companies are also emerging.
According to the global trend of the international cooperation and trade, recently many companies and government officese in Korea have been demanding certified English grades such as TOEIC, TEPs from job applicants.
Therefore, It can be said that english language proficiency is not a selection but a necessity especially for the Korean students and job seekers.
