Do you think oil companies have a duty to lower oil prices at the pumps instead of raking in enormou

Before I did some researches on impacts on global economy by oil prices, I merely thought that low oil prices will benefit consumers in many importing countries who are likely to pay less to heat their homes or drive their vehicles and even producers who can lower their production cost that can lead to lower retail prices. Although for the last 75 years, almost every economic crisis has been preceded by an oil price spike, the worry now is that low energy prices are pushing the global economy into a tailspin. There are many countries which economy is heavily dependent on producing oil and oil prices. They are oil suppliers and simultaneously buyers of goods from other countries. Fallen oil prices will lead to significant revenue shortfalls in many energy exporting nations, thus deteriorating their buying power. For example, Apple blamed weaker sales last quarter on lower economic growth in some oil-rich countries. The best thing is a reasonable oil price, not a sharp drop or hike.
