Although most superstitions are groundless and not based on scientific facts, I think there are some cases that there are truth behind them like the one that walking under a ladder will brining a misfortune. It is more common sense not to walk under the ladder as something could get dropped on your head. Actually we are not sure what the real truth is. Things that we believe to be true now could be found out not to be true later. Not all of the happenings can be explained by science even in 21st century in which a technology has so advanced to launch a satellite to travel to other planets, which has never been imaged in ancient times. Even now, we cannot explain where and how life has begun. Even Catholicism or Christianity could be seen as superstition to atheists because they do not believe in god and the religions have too many things that cannot be explained by modern science. So, some superstitions could have valid reasons.If you dream of poo, you might win a lottery.
