I believe the era of influencers have just started and their popularities would easily outpace the ones of actors/actresses in near future. This is due to a change in the media trend. Until the early 2010s, many people relied on television for the latest trends. Therefore, the actors/actresses could yield influences from what they wear and what they do on the TV shows. However, this trend has changed drastically lately as many social media have emerged. Now many people rely on social media to get to know the latest trends. In such trends, the role of followers on social media is crucial because this can be a parameter of how many people can be influenced. According to the casting directors, they put emphasis on social media followers because those the visible indicators show how many people would watch movie. Accordingly, the influence of influencers would stay because of the changing media trends that accompanied by visible indicators which is followers.
