In my perspective, working two- or three- jobs at the same time is more of societal pressure than personal choice. This decision can be based on personal decisions because there might be some people who decide to work multiple jobs to retire earlier and most individuals must overcome their mental and physical constraints to work in various jobs. However, people will find less motivation to work in multiple jobs if they do not face financial constraints. They are experiencing financial crackdowns which have led to the fact that single jobs cannot help them to sustain their living. In most countries, salaries have not increased on par with inflation, and it takes forever for individual to buy a house. According to the research, Korean need to have 15 years of full savings of their salary to buy a house. It will cost extra if they are aiming to get an apartment in Seoul. At the same time, the base salary for new graduates has increased 2-3% compared to pre-pandemic level.
