Do you think you waste food at home?

I did, but now, I am trying not to make food waste. I had no idea about the meaning of food and what I had to do when I left it. I always saw my mom cooking for a whole day, but I didn’t know how much effort was in there. While I lived independently, I finally knew that, from shopping grocery to washing dishes, this took up to more an hour only for about 10 min. happiness - eating a meal. I really don’t want to be rude to people who cook, especially for my mom. Moreover, the treatment of food waste is really annoying in Korea. We have to seperate them from other garbage and put it into a special waste bag and a garbage man takes it on a specific day of the week. I’m a bad boy to my mom, but not the worst. Of course, food wastes cause severe impact on the environment. I don’t want to be evil because I don’t eat them all. However, it is not easy to keep my belief when I serve a meal to others. We have a tradition to prepare more food in order not to be short, just in case, is courtesy.
