Does being highly educated mean someone is a good person?

Being highly educated and being a good person has nothing to do with each other. We have seen many cases that white color crimes are prevalent and even sometimes more serious than other general crimes, no matter how highly he/she is educated. One’s personality and traits do not always match his/her educational level. The news aired yesterday shocked the nation in Korea. A college professor has continuously beaten one of his subordinate faculty members and even forced him to eat feces. He stated he treated his student as such because he did not live up to his expectations in academic researches. In education for young children, we have to focus on helping them build good personalities, forming good citizenship, and respecting others rather than having them improve technical knowledge and get good scores. Today’s education in school and even at home is addressing the issue of winning the competition. It does not put emphasis on the process and but only regard the results highly.
