Encourge My senior officer

Today, I had dinner with my senior officer who wasn't promoted to director second time so far. I and some colleagues meet together to encourge him, but we didn't mentioned about promotion. He pretended to be okay. We drank little, and talked about our routine life such like low salary, hard work, etc. Even though we had never talked about his promotion, but we sent him our fighting. By the way, I came back home late again, two days straight. My wife seemed to be not okay. To be honest, I have an another promoise tommorow. It is important meeting with having dinner. I have to attend it. So I'm afraid of my wife.
