Essay - eBooks vs. printed textbooks

No, I do not agree with the idea that student’s textbooks be replaced by notebook computers. Although an electronic book could be a supplement to the printed textbook, it should never be a primary tool for a student to use. The reasons for my insist on keeping the text book is because the printed textbook can help a student concentrate more effectively and comportably than the eBook. This is based on my personal experience that reading eBooks is really annoying and irritating, and my eyes get fatigued shortly so that I cannot concentrate. Moreover, when I took an exam, I got much higher scores in the paper based test, than in the web based one. Secondly you can put down a note or highlight in the printed textbook, which will greatly help you memorize the phrase you marked. And your memory will last longer when you learn via eBooks. While eBooks give us a lot of benefits like less expensive, easy to carry, contain lots of information, easy to update, etc,I still prefer the textbooks
