Historically, there exits a tension between private rights and public interests.
In some periods, people struggled to obtain their rights from autocracy or aristocracy, which sometimes resulted in limiting public interests as a side effect.
In other periods, private rights were suppressed with the name of public interests.
This tension arises over the horizon again these days due to the pandemic of COVID-19.
Authority demands several actions such as wearing a mask and keeping in quarantine to prevent the virus from being spread.
However, someone may think that it is his/her right to go out anytime he/she wants or not to wear a mask.
In some countries, politicians abuse the virus to ignore opinions that are requested by people righteously.
Well... it is not easy to balance between private rights and public interests.
But one thing is clear. Human have to live together and need to give way to promote the welfare in public.
