There are several movies that people think them great.
Typical examples include the Star Wars, Lord of Rings, Avatar, Forrest Gump and About Time.
What common characteristics make the movies great?
I think there are three features in there.
The first one is creativity.
The Avatar leads us to imagine that all living creatures, even trees, can communicate with people.
Hence, all living creatures can understand each other and co-exist in a cooperative way.
The second feature is its scale and completeness.
The Lord of Rings were filmed in all area of New Zealand and the background of Star Wars is Universe.
The final one is that they deal with humanity.
Endless efforts, love and compassion shown in the movies make people touched.
